Ziggy and Dean go their separate ways, while Nikau and Bella face a new setback.
The Home and Away episodes next week see the relationship between Dean Thompson and Ziggy Astoni become the latest casualty of the investigation into the murder of Ross Nixon.
Nikau Parata, meanwhile, faces resistance after asking Bella Nixon, his mother, to move in.
Here’s a complete collection of ten great moments to come.
Ziggy dumps Dean
- Home and Away has reported that this week, Amber Simmons’ mother will move to Summer Bay.
- Dean and Ziggy Hold On! I hope they can find their way back to each other.
After Dean explained the whole sorry story of Ross’s murder and his involvement, Ziggy was shocked. She can’t believe that for the entirety of their relationship, Dean was keeping this secret.
When Willow admits that she has known the truth for a long time, which only makes her feel even more isolated, Ziggy is also surprised. When Ziggy announces that he is not the man she fell in love with, Dean is left in no doubt about where he stands, so she’s ending her friendship.
Dean goes on the rebound
After the tragic break-up, Dean drowns his sorrows over Salt. He pursues his old flame Amber easily and they wind up sharing a kiss.
Things look set to go back to the pier apartment even further until Dean lets slip that he had only split from Ziggy hours before. Amber learns the Dean sees her as a choice for rebounding and leaves hastily, making it clear that she is not interested in these terms.
Justin has his surgery
To remove the tumour from his spine, Justin is taken into the operating room. He’s surprised to see exactly how large and serious the development is as Dr. Green opens Justin up.
Dr. Green brings Tori into the room, as Justin’s next of kin, to make a crucial decision. As it would pose a serious risk of paralysis to remove the entire tumour, Tori must grant permission for them to continue.
Tori tells Christian to stop, knowing how worried Justin was about losing his mobility. All they can do is hope that enough has been removed by Christian, but the signs look good when he seems to recover well in the aftermath.
Colby clashes with Dean
When he figures out the Dean has admitted something to Ziggy, Colby is appalled. As far as he’s concerned, it would certainly just make their problem much more difficult to drag someone else into the dark secret.
Colby and Dean wind up in a major argument about the presence of Ziggy, which a skeptical Angelo is witnessing. Willow attempts to regain care of the situation desperately, sending Dean out for a couple of days so that he can clear his mind and stay out of trouble.
Tori kisses Christian
With relief, Tori is overwhelmed that Justin’s surgery seems to have been a success. She is full of Christian gratitude, now realizing how brilliant he is at his work.
Tori, caught up in the moment, takes a surprising step as she shares a lift at the hospital with Christian and kisses him. Might this be the beginning of something special?
Taylor is left disappointed
Taylor attempts to get their life back on track with Angelo back in town after a few days apart. When she gets the answers she needs from Angelo, she’s even prepared to cool things off with Colby.
Angelo is confronted by Taylor and urges him to prove his love for her, but his underwhelming answers fall flat and threaten to send her back to Colby directly.
Ryder gives Owen a warning
Roo’s relationship with Owen continues to gather pace as they share a kiss and ultimately sleep together for the first time. Everyone is happy for the new couple, but Ryder quickly goes into protective nephew mode.
Ryder warns Owen that if he ever hurts Roo, he’ll have him to deal with. Can Owen offer any reassurances?
Tane pushes Mac away
Tane tends to send a frosty welcome to Mac, moaning that it’s so hard all the time to keep her around. He makes it clear that they are not and will never be friends.
Mac agrees that it’s time to start searching for another place to live, even though Ari encourages her to move in indefinitely, in order to be mindful of Tane’s wishes. When she consoles Ziggy over the split from Dean and decides to become her housemate in the farmhouse of the Astonis, she gets her chance.
Ari thwarts Nikau and Bella’s next step
In order to secure a much-needed escape from Colby, Nikau invites Bella to move into Parata’s house. Without consulting either of his uncles, he extends this bid, which goes down with Ari especially badly.
With the prospect of Bella staying with the family, Ari is not pleased, thinking that it would give Colby a reason to start bothering them again. Bella realizes quickly that she is not welcome, crushing the hopes of Nikau to have his girlfriend live with him.
Nikau confronts Colby
When she catches him in an intense conversation with Taylor, Bella struggles to cope with Colby’s reckless conduct. Desperately, she needs her brother to put an end to Angelo’s wife’s affair, but he is adamant to keep things going.
Bella ends up confiding about Colby’s antics to Nikau. Nikau refuses to stand back and do nothing, so he goes to the pier apartment and gives Colby some home truths on how others are affected by his poor choices. Colby doesn’t take his meddling politely and argues back.
