Home and Away may already set the stage for the next romance storyline for Tane Parata, as he made a surprising move in the latest Australian episode of the show.
In Thursday’s triple bill in Australia (October 8), Tane suddenly left his job working for Mackenzie Booth at Salt, deciding that he’d finally had enough of being second best.
Tane (Ethan Browne) has been in a continuing love triangle plot in recent months as he has fallen for Mac, who is dating his older brother Ari at the moment.
While Tane tried his best to respect the relationship with his sibling, when Mac (Emily Weir) blamed him for causing problems between them, the final straw came.
Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) continued to give Mac ultimatums about their own future in the latest episodes of Home and Away, seeking more dedication after she wanted to move out of her family home.
In Tane’s direction, Mac soon vented her frustrations, saying she just moved out because he had complained about her presence made him uncomfortable.
When she later managed to patch things up with Ari, Mac was relieved, with both deciding that at this early stage of their relationship, they did not need to worry about engagement and the future.
While it seemed to be a happy ending, Tane realized that he had enough to be an emotional punching bag for everyone, so he quit his job at Salt without warning.
This will allow Tane to finally put space between them once and for all, as Mac no longer lives with the Paratas.
Tane gets a new chance next week on Australian screens when Ziggy Astoni (Sophie Dillman) invites him to start working at the garage.
Paparazzi pictures are taken from the latest filming of Home and Away have shown that Tane and Ziggy would soon become a new couple, but may their time together in the garage be what brings them closer?
