There are two shows that have stood the test of time to become emblematic stalwarts of our screens when it comes to Aussie soaps-Home And Away and Neighbours.
And, we’re blessed with a crossover every so often, when a memorable actor from either show jumps to the other.
We saw it with Jodi Gordon, Guy Pearce, Andrew Morley, Bernard Curry, and a lot more like that.
Now, Josh Barrett, aka Jackson Gallagher, the troublesome heartthrob of Home And Away, is following suit with an exciting new Ramsay Street gig.
And, as we always love to hear, as a handsome newcomer named Nathan, it sounds like he’s set to stir up some romantic trouble between Bea (Bonnie Anderson) and Levi (Richie Morris).
Levi, who was caught up in his police work and handling his epilepsy, is about to learn, according to TVSoap, that he may have missed his chance with a possible love interest, Bea.
Levi spots Bea laughing and talking to a hunky stranger, Nathan, after losing any romantic chance to take their relationship to the next level.
It is uncertain just how long Jackson will remain on the program, but we can only hope it is as long as it lasts from 2013 to 2016 for his Home And Away stint.
One of the show’s most unforgettable characters as Jackson’s Summer Bay alter ego, Josh.
In the 2015 season finale, Josh shot and fatally injured Charlotte King (Erika Heynatz), after discovering that Charlotte was responsible for the death of Denny Miller (Jessica Grace Smith) and that she knew the part that Andy Barrett (Tai Hara) played in the death of Jake Pirovic (Fletcher Humphreys).
Josh was charged with manslaughter, and at his sentencing, he was given 20 years.
Then, in a getaway car, Josh and Andy made a dramatic escape from court, but it was later disclosed that they were recaptured and taken to jail.
In May last year, Jackson posted a cheeky reunion photo with her brother, Tai Hara, from Summer Bay, captioning the snap: “Rule No.1 while on the run .. never shave”
“And a few months ago, another wrote:” Still going …
Maybe after all that running, we’ll see a return.
