The comedian, 48, took to Twitter on Monday to upload a picture of the Britain’s Got Talent judge of his fellow during a recent holiday looking at his phone. The children’s book author, placing a cheeky spin on the innocent picture, wrote: ‘Opening one of my d pics…’
The TV star is no wonder to mocking music mogul Simon, 60, with the ITV variety program often involving the pair in playful arguments. In the romance department, David is said to have reached out to Pussycat Doll singer Ashley, 38, who previously admitted he ‘wouldn’t rule out’ a same-sex relationship in the future, and hopes to date her once the coronavirus lockdown is removed.
Ashley is one of the women he’s messaged [since his split]. He thinks she is stunning. He has sent a few flirty messages and is planning to take her out once the lockdown is over.’
There were calls on social media earlier this month for David Walliams and Matt Lucas to apologize for the black and non-white characters in Little Britain after Leigh Francis posted an emotional video for doing the same thing on his show Bo ‘Selecta!
In a recent interview with The Big Issue, Funnyman Matt, who played Bubbles controversially while David was Desiree, admitted that the duo would not portray the role of black characters if the comedy sketch show were to return.
He explained: ‘We have made a more cruel sort of comedy than I would have done now. Since then, society has moved a lot and my own opinions have evolved.’ The television personality broke down in tears in Leigh’s video, when he said he was ‘deeply sorry for the confusion’ that he caused to dress up when black celebrities.
